It offers the possibility of watching a large amount of animals in their natural habitats. Váldés Peninsula, on the Atlantic sea, 77 kilometres (around 50 miles) away from Puerto Madryn, is one of these habitats. Huge whales few metres away, seals and sea elephants, penguins, numerous birds, guanacos and other land species live in this Natural Reserve of 360 thousand hectares (around 889,200 acres) where there is almost no other inhabitant or star but them. The fauna is so outstanding that the UNESCO has declared these a “World Heritage Site”. |
