This is the region of the great rivers,
of the humid tropics, of the red earth and the virgin jungle
covered with gigantic trees, and extraordinary flora and fauna.
Iguazú River, which means Great Waters in Guaraní
language, falls 70 metres and has 275 waterfalls along 2.7
km. The border with Brazil passes through the Devil’s
Throat, where the falling water creates multiple rainbows.
It’s an area of exuberant beauty which extends through
the Iguazu National Park, Mocona Falls, the Rio Pilcomayo
National Park, El Palmar National Park, the Ibera Marshlands
or the Chaco Plain. Nature’s apotheosis where human
presence remains in the missionary Jesuitical ruins, declared
by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage.
